This Halloween gothic costumes will be very popular for all age groups. The great part about choosing gothic Halloween costumes for teens is you can turn any theme into gothic style. Some great theme ideas include a Nurse, Widow, Bride, Cheerleader, Witch, Angel, Punk, Vampire, ballerina or even a Princess!
For a nurse them you can use plain scrubs (usually white) or a Halloween nurse uniform. As with any white costume you will need to really play up the dark side to show the goth look. The punk look is a common gothic costume. With these costumes you are able to add bright colors like pinks and purples to complete your look. One of my favorite is the goth ballerina. With this costume you can have a very unique look. All you need is your choice of ballerina outfit. When you are done with this costume you will look like a ballerina’s ghost.
Most of these costumes can be purchased ready made or you can throw one together at home in no time. All you have to do is think dark and moody and you will have the perfect gothic Halloween costumes for teens. You want as much of your costume to consist of black but if you want to add color just throw in some subtle hints of darker colors. If you are going for a punk look stick with blues and purples. If you are going for a medieval look then consider a more striking color such as red. Add eye shadow, nail polish and lipstick in these colors to add pizzazz.
Makeup is one of the most important parts of a gothic style costume and will complete your look. To paint your face think of big dark eyes and very dark lips. Make bold lines when applying eye liner and paint your lips black or a very bright red. Depending on your theme you can also add some artwork to your face for a more artistic look. If you are going to be wearing a costume in a different color than black (such as white, red or gray) then add a more intense look to your makeup. A few other things you could add to your makeup would be some false eye lashes and maybe a fake tattoo or scar.
Don’t forget to add some gothic style jewelry to your costume for a finished look. This is a great costume that you can have so much fun with and go against everything you ever learned about applying makeup and matching clothes. Just make sure to have fun with it.
